Kashmir Winter Experience

Travel the Himalayas presents to you the Introductory One Week Skiing / Snowboarding Workshop / Sessions at one of the India's best Skiing Resorts - Gulmarg . This "Meadow of Flowers ", is a winter dreamland , blessed with heaven's white gold. Skiers from all over the World come to Ski here due to the fine powder Snow that Gulmarg. Being at the Western extremity of the Pir Panjals it gets lots of Snowfall as it gets hit by the Western Disturbances which bring moisture from the West.

The One week Skiing / Snowboarding session is designed and packaged in a way that we take care of everything be it the Trainers, Equipment, Accommodation, Lift Passes, Permits , and Transportation. Our Team on the Ground ensures that throughout all your needs are taken care of.

Program

On your arrival at Srinagar Airport on Day 1 you will be transported to Gulmarg directly from the Airport. Gulmarg lies at a distance of around 57 kms from the Srinagar Airport and it takes around 1 and half hours. We will check you into your Hotel and the rest of the Day you can acclimatize to the Weather and the Altitude.

On Day 2 morning we will start the Workshop and introduce you to Skiing and Snowboarding on the Nursery Slopes. From Day 2 to Day 5 you will learn the basics of the trade and practice under the Guidance and Supervision of our trained and experienced Skiing / Snowboarding Guides on Basic Slopes. It will also give you a chance to try both Skiing and Snowboarding and choose which one suits you more. The Workshop will start in the Morning at 10 and with a few Breaks in between continue till 4:30.

On Day 6 we will take you to Kongdoori slopes on the Apharwat Mountains riding on the Gondola. You will either Ski/ Snowboard at the Gondola Phase I Station or the Kongdoori Slopes depending on your proficiency as well as your comfort. These are vast Slopes and more Expert Skiiers can even go down all the way to Gulmarg. Kongdoori in itself is one of the best vantage view points of the valley providing panoramic views of of the Great Himalayan Range including the mighty Nanga Parbat, Mt Haramukh, Mt Kolahoi, Mt Brahma, Mt Cerro Kishtwar etc .

On Day 7 it will be time to say Goodbye to the Snowy heaven and head back to Srinagar where we will Drop you at the Airport / Hotel depending on your further Program.

‌Inclusions : Airport Transfer (To and From Gulmarg), Accommodation on Twin Sharing Basis (with Breakfast and Dinner) , Permits, Ski - Passes, Equipment ( viz Skies, Skiing Shoes, Sticks) , Day Gondola Pass to Phase 1 on 6th day, Guide / Trainer Charges.

Exclusions : Lunch, Refreshments (Tea / Coffee), Personal Rides of any nature ( viz Sledge Rides, Snow Mobile, Horse etc), Personal Clothing, Emergency charges incurred due to injury / accident / natural disasters, Refreshments etc.

Note : All Covid Norms and Guidelines as stipulated at the time of the Workshop will be strictly implemented.
