Welcome to our Annual Kashmir Snow Expedition where you get a chance to Experience Driving around in the Snow in Valleys and Mountains of the Kashmir Valley and enjoy the Winter wonderland that is Kashmir.

The Expedition will take us around the Valley, we would do Snow Drives in the Meadows of the Pir Panjals in the Southern part of the Valley. We would be Exploring the Snows in the Meadows of Dudhpathri and Yusmarg.

Day 1 ; Arrival in Srinagar and acclimitisation

Day 2 : Day Trip to Uri and the Kaman Post. Drive upto the Rustom Post. Expect Snow on this Road. Return to Srinagar in the Evening. (Srinagar to Uri is app 100 kms one way - 2 and Half Hours)

Day 3 : Drive to Yusmarg and do some Snow Drving and return to Srinagar in the Afternoon. (Srinagar to Yusmarg 50 kms - 1 and Half Hours)

Day 4 : Srinagar to Sonamarg. Sonamarg will be full of Snow at this time. Stay at Sonamarg (Srinagar to Sonamarg 80 kms - 2 Hours)

Day 5 : Snow Driving around Sonamarg. Go towards Baltal and towards Zoji La depending on Road Conditions and Permissions. Stay at Sonamarg

Day 6 : Sonamarg to Best Known Place for Snow in the Country, Gulmarg. Stay at Gulmarg. ( Sonamarg to Gulmarg 125 kms. 3 Hours)

Day 7 : Snow Driving around Gulmarg. Stay at Gulmarg

Day 8 : Return to Srinagar. (Gulmarg to Srinagar 55 kms. 2 Hours)

The THPC JK editions takes you across almost the whole length and breadth of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. We start off from Basohli in the Kathua District and make our way into the heart of the Pir Panjals and come to Bhaderwah in the Doda District after crossing the remote Chattargala Pass.

From Bhaderwah we move along the Chenab River to the Kishtwar district and from the town of Kishtwar we move towards the Sinthan Pass in the Pir  Panjals which gets us into Kashmir. We then explore the Passes around Kashmir like the Margan Pass and Razdan Pass in the Great Himalayan Range and the Sadhna Pass, the Z Gali and the Pharkiyan Gali in the Shamsabari Range.

And end after crossing over Pir Panjals via the Pir Ki Gali on the old Mughal Road and ending in Jammu, having covered almost all the main Districts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and experiencing the Mountains, the Rivers, the Forests, the Prople, the Culture and of course the Passes of the Region.

This Drive is not just an Overlanding Expedition but a lesson the Geography of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Which takes you along lesser know Routes in the UT with beauty than cannot be justified in words.

Day 1

We have an early Morning start and take the Road to Bani. And then to the beautiful meadows of Sarthal. From Sarthal we climb up to the beautiful Chattargala Pass and descend into scenic Bhaderwah in the Doda District.

Day 3

We start the drive up the thrilling Margan Pass which connects Kashmir with the magical Warwan Valley. Return to Srinagar later in the day.

Day 4

From Srinagar we drive upto the Wular Lake and then we climb up the Razdan Pass which was once a part of the Route which connected Kashmir with Gurez and beyond to Gilgit. From Razdan Pass we head to Chandigam in the Lolab Valley in Kupwara.

Day 5

Today we will do the Shamsabari Passes of Zamindar/ Z Gali which connects to Machil and the the Pharkiyan Gali which connects to Kerna. Return to Chandigam in the Afternoon.

Day 6

We head to the Sadhna Pass today again in the Shamsbari Range and which further connects to the Karnah Valley and Tithwal. Return to Srinagar in the Afternoon. Night Stay at the Khanda Kothi

Day 7

The last day we head to the old Mughal Road and cross the Pir Panjal Mountains via the historic Peer Ki Gali which connects Kashmir with Poonch in the Jammu Division and then the adjoining Dera Ki Gali which connects Poonch with Rajouri and head through the Rajouri District and finally arrive at Jammu.

We have an early Morning start and take the Road towards Uri via Baramulla. On the first Day of the Drive we drive towards Uri.  Uri is the last major Town on the Road which once connected Srinagar with Rawalpindi and it runs along the Jhelum River. Uri would be our first Border town visit. Go towards Haji Pir the Pass which connects Uri with Poonch. From Uri we would move to Reshwari in the Kupwara District. Stay at Reshwari.

From Reshawari we will drive to the Karnah Valley and the Villages of Tangdhar and Tithwal over the Nastachun Pass on the Shamshabari Range. Tithwal Village is in the Karnah Valley and located right on the Kishanganga. Visit the Sharda Temple in Tithwal. Stay at Reshawari.

From Reshawari we will Drive towards the Village of Keran. We would cross the Firkiyan Gali in the Shamshabari Mountains and go down to the Village of Keran which is located right on the Kishanganga River which acts as the LoC in these parts. Stay at Reshawari.

Drive to Machil across the Zamindar Gali. Machil is a beautiful forested Border area which at one point used to be a part of Gurez. Stay at Athwatoo

Drive to Gurez via the Razdan Pass.  This Route was a part of the Old Silk Route which connected Kashmir to Gilgit via Gurez. You will also witness the Kishanganga which is the main River of this Valley. We would visit the border Village of Bagtore. Night Stay would be at Dawar.

Today will be th most Epic driving day of the Trip. Taking an early start from Gurez we will drive along the Kishanganga River and enter the adjoining Valley of Tulail and head North. After crossing the Villages along the way like Badoab and Gujran we will head towards the the one Pass that eludes most. The Koabal Gali. Return to Dawar afterwards.

We start from Dawar early Morning and return to the main Kashmir Valley by the Razdan Pass. Reach Srinagar by Lunch time.  Rest of the Day is free for you to go Local Sightseeing / Shopping / Shikara Ride. Wrap up celebration in the Evening. Stay in Srinagar
