Kashmir Winter Expedition

Presenting our first Kashmir Winter Expedition in association with Black Top & Beyond where one gets a chance to experience snow driving in the valleys and mountains of the winter wonderland that is Kashmir.  

We will first explore the snow covered meadows of the Pir Panjals, Dudhpathri and Yusmarg in south Kashmir. Then we move towards Kupwara in the northern part of Kashmir and drive up to the Shamshabari Mountains, the beautiful and picturesque Lolab valley and attempt to reach Bangus meadows. In the latter part of the expedition we will head towards eastern Kashmir and drive around slopes of the Great Himalayan Range, attempt trails leading to Margan and Sinthan passes and visit the stunning Daksum forests.

This expedition will be a novel Kashmir experience. Do expect a lot of snow (and snowfall) during this expertly curated journey of a lifetime. 

Here's the itinerary: 

10th Feb : Arrival and acclimatization in Srinagar

11th Feb : Drive to Doodhpathari and return to Srinagar

12th Feb : Drive to Gulmarg (visit Drung frozen waterfall en route)

13th Feb : Drive to Bhutapathri and return to Srinagar

14th Feb : Drive to Bangus and stay in Chandigam

15th Feb : Drive towards Lolab valley and return to Chandigam

16th Feb : Drive towards Daksum attempt Morgan pass and return to Daksum

17th Feb : Attempt Margan pass and return to Daksum

18th Feb : Drive to Srinagar via Aharbal

19th Feb : Depart from Srinagar

There will be a total of ten 4WDs in this convoy (including two driven by the crew). We can provide 4WDs (Mahindra Thar or Scorpio), guests are welcome to bring their own wheels too.
