The High Pass Challenge Jammu and Kashmir takes you through some of the most scenic Passes which were all used to access Kashmir Valley. We would be driving through the Pir Panjals, the Shamsabari Range as well as the Great Himalayan Range. Most of these Passes are still mostly unknown and unexplored.

The Itinerary :

Day 1 : We would start from Jammu and drive towards the border district of Poonch from where we will take the Mughal Road and cross into the Kashmir Valley via the Pir Ki Gali Pass or the Pir Panjal Pass. Proceed towards Srinagar. Night Stay at the Khanda Kothi

Day 2 : Today we will head towards North Kashmir and the Shamsabari Range along the LoC in the Kupwara District. We will go to the Sadhna Pass or the Nastachun Pass as it was called. Night Stay by the Mawar River at the TRC Reshwari.

Day 3 : We will do more Passes in the Shamsabari namely the Firkiyan Gali and the Zamindar Gali. For the Night Stay we will come to Athwatoo which is close to the town of Bandipora located on the Wular Lake. Stay at Athwatoo TRC Guest House

Day 4 : We will climb towards the Razdan Pass today as we enter the Gurez Valley along the ancient Silk Route which connected Srinagar with Gilgit. Drive along the Kishanganga and stay at Dawar. Hotel Wood Vibes

Day 5 : One of the most exciting days as he head North along the Kishanganga to the Tulail Valley and further to Kaobal Gali which connects Gurez in Kashmir to Drass in Ladakh. Being in the Great Himalayan Range this is a tough Pass and lies in a Glacial region. The access to this Pass is very strictly controlled by the Military. We expect to get permission for this Pass if all is good. We enter the Muskoh Valley and then onto Drass. Night stay in Drass.

Day 6 : We head towards Kashmir ad descend into the Valley via the famous Zoji La Pass. and drive all the way to Srinagar. Night Stay at the Khanda Kothi.

Day 7 : From Srinagar we head to the beautiful Margan Pass which connects Kashmir Valley with the very pretty Warwan Valley in Kishtwar. Night Stay at Daksum TRC Guest House.

Day 8 : Today from Daksum we climb up the Sinthan Pass which also connects Kashmir Valley with Kishtwar and we descend into Kishtwar and move onto Bhaderwah in the Doda District. Night Stay at Resort in Bhaderwah.

Day 9 : We do the Padri Pass from Bhaderwah which connects Bhaderwah with Chamba in Himachal. Then we go to the Chattargala Pass which connects Bhaderwah with Bani and Basohli in the Kathua District of JK. Night Stay at Resort in Basohli

Day 10 : We proceed towards Jammu / Pathankot. People with self drive Vehicles can head directly towards their Home destinations. Others proceed to Jammu to catch thier flights out of Jammu the next Day.
