See a side of Kashmir that few people from the outside have ever set their eyes upon. These places lie along the Line of Control and adjoining areas which have been largely off limits due to the Borders and the sensitive local Political situations. But slowly the Government has now opened up the areas and JK Tourism and other Departments have built infrastructure like Guest Houses so that people can come and enjoy the beauty of these hitherto unseen places for most.
So introducing for the first time our Kashmir Edge Tour. Where you travel mostly in the Kupwara distrcit of Kashmir in the North West which borders the Loc and is home to beautiful Valleys such as the Lolab valley and the largest Alpine Valley in Kashmir, the Bangus Valley. This is also the Home of the Shamsbari Range and you can actually walk along the Kishenganga River and see activities across the Border in areas under Pakistan. The same Kishenganga is called the Neelum River once it goes across the Line of Control.
And once you cross the Shamshabari Range via the Sadhna Pass you can visit the Border Villages in the Karnah Valley which includes Tangdhar and Teetwal and the newly built Sharda Temple as well. Moving
Day 1 : Arrive at Srinagar Airport. Night Stay at Homestay/ Hotel in Srinagar.
Day 2 : Srinagar to Uri : First day out of Srinagar you travel to the border Town of Uri. This little Town right at the LOC has become quite well known after certain unfortunate incidents have taken place in the last few years. There is even a Bollywood Movie made with the same name. The Town is beautiful and sits astride a Mountain as the Jhelum flows by . From Uri you move to a Guest House in Kupwara.
Day 3 : Travel to Keran from Chandigam via the Phirkiyan Gali. Keran Village lies on both sides of the Line of Control and is divided in between by the Kishanganga or the Neelum as its called on the other side. They refer to their side of the River as the Neelum Valley. From our side of Keran we can clearly see the Resorts and Hotels on the other side and the People on the other side indulging in their
Day 4 : Travel to the Karnah Valley via the Sadhna Pass also known as the Nastachun Pass. You will Pass through the beautiful Tangdhar Valley and the Tangdhar Village. From thereon proceed to the Village of Tithwal which is right on the Line of Control. You can visit the Bridge which once connected both sides and also visit the new Sharda Temple. Return to Chandigam in the Evening. Stay at the Chandigam Guest House.
Day 5 : From Chandigam, travel to Gurez via Razdan Top along what used to be one of the Ancient Silk Routes. Visit the last Village of Gurez on the Western side, Bagtore and enjoy the splendid views of the Meadows. Night stay at Dawar. Stay at the Wood Vibes Hotel.
Day 6 : Gurez Sightseeing. Travel to the Tulil Valley and visit Shiekhpora and travel as far North as the Army allows. Night Stay at Wood Vibes.
Day 7 : Return to Srinagar via Razdan Pass. Night Stay at Homestay / Hotel
Day 8 : Transfer to Airport and return Home.
